Wedding Dress photomontage/mixed media |
Well, I guess I am still in anniversary mode. This is Wedding Dress. I have spent several hours/days obsessing on this piece (as I normally do with my work) I am pretty sure it's because I got the crazy idea of recreating my wedding dress. Yes, crazy! I won't share more on this piece being that, I like my work to tell its own story to the viewer, but I do hope you like it. I decided to add "Paisley" in this montage for IF. So where's the "Paisley" you ask? Hmmm... might be difficult to see it's small, sorry but I promise it's there. Look around, can you find it or can you guess? Perhaps I will show a close-up before Friday :)
♥
I just love it!
ReplyDeleteis it on butterfly wings?
ReplyDeletethanks guys for looking! Ha, good guess Regina - maybe you're correct. Hmmm... I am thinking tomorrow I will post a "close-up" of where the Paisley is... ♥
ReplyDeletetruly beyond...
ReplyDeletebeautiful! really cool!
ReplyDeletebeautiful composition!
ReplyDeleteJust love this.reminds me of something out of a fairytale. like Sleeping Beauty (when she was in the woods and playing dress up with the animals).
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued! It's very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHello Ivy, first of all, it's beautiful your wedding gown.
ReplyDeleteWell, I suppose that an artist should not explain his work, so if I were you I would not say where is the Paisley. If you say it is, the viewer must look, and if not found, bad luck.
It is a beautiful work of art!!
congratulations (Yo le mando un abrazo al "Gordo")
Roberto Haha...good point about not revealing where the paisley is, hmmm maybe you are right. Gracias por comentar y por los abrazos a mi "Gordo" jaja!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your kind words ♥
What a dreamy, gorgeous, ethereal piece!
ReplyDeletehello!
ReplyDeleteFirst of, thx for the comment you left on my blog! then, i had a look at your site, your oils are really great, specially the ones where the shapes are less detailled, like the girl talk, or the one with 2 people on a bench, the light, the colors, the brush work, it's really beautiful. I would love to paint more...you inspired me to start again!
oh this is gorgeous!!! wow!!! I love it...
ReplyDeletegreat atmospheric piece, ethereal is the perfect word to describe it. I think the paisley is the pattern on the chair seat?

ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful! Love the whole compositon.
ReplyDeleteLove the softness of the dress in contrast to the hard etches of the black trees. Very magical
ReplyDeleteMy, this is so hauntingly innocent, Ivy! I love the bitter sweet sense of the whole thing... It seems that you have a lot going in the head there. (^__^)
